“Feel this moment” è un singolo cantato da Pitbull, di cui abbiamo già ascoltato la performance con Arianna in “Sexy people”. Rilasciato il 4 febbraio dalla Polo Grounds Music e RCA Records, si tratta del quarto estratto dell’album Global Warming del rapper nativo di Miami. Tante le firme sul testo della canzone, scritta, oltre che da Pitbull, da Nasri Atweh, Chantal Kreviazuk, Adam Messinger, Dj Buddha e da Christina Aguilera, guest star del video che, pubblicato il 15 febbraio, si presenta con una struttura molto particolare: girato completamente in bianco e nero, l’unica nota di colore è data dal rosso della cravatta di Pitbull. Il sample del brano è “Take on me”, brano del 1985 che regalò un notevole successo al gruppo norvegese degli A-ha, poi mai più ripetutisi su quei livelli.
Il riscontro di vendite è stato pressoché immediato: il brano è subito entrato nella top ten di Billboard Hot 100, ottenendo buoni risultati anche in Francia e Svizzera. “Feel this moment” rispecchia l’anima hip hop di Pitbull ma non disdegna nuove sonorità house, per un ritmo molto ballabile che, come detto dallo stesso autore, “invita la gente a vivere la vita per la vita, a godersi ogni momento”. Il brano è inoltre valorizzato dal buon mix creato tra le voci del cantante di origini cubane e quella completa di Christina Aguilera.
