“Bounce” è il titolo dell’ultimo singolo di Iggy Azalea, pubblicato il 15 aprile 2013. Il brano ha ottenuto un successo immediato nel mercato britannico, piazzandosi al tredicesimo posto delle classifiche di vendita fin dalla prima settimana di pubblicazione. Un risultato addirittura superiore a quello del brano d’esordio di Iggy, quel Work con il quale nel 2009 la bella rapper australiana, al secolo Amelia Ametista Kelly, sembrava pronta per un futuro radioso nel firmamento musicale britannico.
Così non è stato, almeno per il momento, vista anche la ridotta popolarità di cui il genere hip hop gode oltremanica, ma con “Bounce” Iggy sembra aver giocato la carta giusta: il pezzo infatti è orecchiabile e divertente, che unisce tocchi di musica beat con il rap tradizionale, dando un’altra veste al mondo dell’hip hop, abitualmente fossilizzato su temi “arrabbiati”.
Accattivante il video, pubblicato il 6 maggio sul canale VEVO di Iggy e prodotto dalla BRTHR Films: ambientato a Mumbai, si incentra su scene del cinema di Bollywood. La stessa Iggy ha definito l’esperienza di questo video una tra le più elettrizzanti e “pazze” (ha anche cavalcato un elefante indiano) della sua giovane carriera.
