Denmark and Portugal have to play a run-off, but both of them still risks elimination. Portugal wins 3-2 and hooks Denmark with three point: the last matchday will be deciding but after having seen his rivals Netherlands can be more optimistic. Sunday 17th Denmark will met Germany, Portugal will play against Netherlands. Three goals have been scored in the first half: Portugal advantage comes after a header of Pepe at 24’, Postiga doubles at 36’ after an assist of Nani while Denmark shortens with an other header of Bendtner at 41’ on suggestion of Krohn-Dehli. Two incredible mistakes of Cristiano Ronaldo characterize second half, the latter few minutes before the 2-2 by Bendtner. But at 87’ Varela, in from three minutes, scores third Portoguese gol with the right, and Group B is now a brain-teaser.

What an effort: Germany succeeds to win its first match in Euro 2012 and flies at the top of Group B together with Danmark, which has surprisingly defeated Netherlands in the afternoon match. Mario Gomez is the match-winner: it is deciding his header at 72’ after a cross by Lahm from the right wing. But Germany has not played a very positive game especially in the first half, when the careful defensive line of Portugal succeeds to stop almost all German attacks. After the disadvantage, Portugal (which hits the crossbar with Pepe in the first half), tries to catch the goal of the draw but Nani hit another time the crossbar while Neuer has cleared a shot by Varela.
