Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine: it is one of ten largest European towns thanks to its 2.600.000 inhabitants shared among ten quarters. Its location, along the east bank of the river Dnieper, makes Kyiv a very important river port.
Industrial activity is expanded, in particular in the chemicals, mechanical, texile and footwear divisions.

Donetsk is now a city of two milions and half inhabitants with a heavy concentration of industrial business. Originally it was a miner town with chemical and mechanical industries.

Donetsk is one of the cities which will host 2012 European Football Championships. It is also home to Shakhtar, one of the two most important national football teams as well Uefa Cup winner in 2009.

Lviv is situated at Carpathians feet, near the boundary with Poland. It is one of the most important Ukrainian cultural centres as well as the base of a famous farm and cattle market.
Food, engineering, textile, petrolchemical and graphic industries are much developed.
Lviv is is also known as “museum town” due to its western gothic architecture. Its old town is part of UNESCO World Heritage.
